Im not disappointed in my sc1-r. I don’t find it obnoxious or that it drones at steady throttle. When you crack the throttle though, it makes the right noise. The above description is without the db killer insert. With It, it sounds close to stock. So you could put in and or take it out according to riding. If I had to keep it in, I wouldn

Looking for long term reviews (the good, the bad, the ugly and the required mods) from long term owners of the 1290 Adventure R or S. It’d also be good to know what bike you came from .. and if you moved on, why you sold it and what you went to.
Advice: 1290 Super Adventure S or 1290 Super Duke GT. Hey guys, I'm a long time KTM fan and while I'm waiting for the test drive I thought it was interesting to hear some opinions and advices. I'm a really tall guy, 196 cm or 6'4'' and pretty bulky too (around 100 kg), right now I'm a not-so happy owner of a 1090 Adventure, I say not so happy

The duo is working on snow bike conversion kits for two KTM 1090 Adventure R motorcycles which they plan to use for the Poles and is hoping to hit the road as early as this year, COVID-19 situation permitting. Starting in the US, Berlet and Otto hope to ride to Argentina, Ushuaia, and ship the bikes to Antarctica from where they expect to

2017 KTM 1090 Adventure R First offered in Europe to meet certain horsepower restrictions, the smaller displacement version makes a claimed 125 horsepower at the crank (compared to 150 on the 1190).

According to official KTM figures, dry weight 790 R = 189 kg, 890 R = 196 kg. The weighed the 890Rally vs 790R rally comes with akro, and DID thinner wheels. And they said almost the same the diff was, about 2lb. #10.
I'm buying a mostly-road adventure/touring bike this year. So either KTM 1090 (or larger), Multistrada 1200S or Caponord 1200 ABS. Today was actually my bike demo day. I spent most of the day running around to the various dealers. I got to ride the two Italian bikes no fuss no muss. Fife, Scotland. This is working for me - stock S screen raised with 1290SA screen supports at highest/forward setting and a £35 chinese screen extension from ebay. I can have the extension higher, but I have to look through it which I don't like (it's super smooth though) so I've lowered it and angled it forward.
Throttle keeps cutting out while riding, repair shop can't fix. Hey, First time poster here. I own a 2017 KTM 1090 Adventure R with about 6000 miles on it. It's had a consistent problem since I bought it last summer were the throttle will just stop working. Sometimes it happens a ton close together then it will be fine a week.
