I would agree it has to do with Apple and the cox two factor authentication. I cannot even use cox as the tv provider thru the setting or even through some of the tv apps. However on a Roku or fire stick I can get them to work. It’s only on my apple devices that it will not take me to the two factor authentication screen for cox.
The only way at this point to get the Up Next tray to update is to use app switcher and force close (swiping up) the Apple TV App. I have seem posts where other people are experiencing very similar behavior.
