Golf Mk6 1.4 TSI DSG gearbox issue. My above car has an intermittent judder in 1st gear from the DSG box. This seems to be coupled with a metallic clunking sound from under the car when going over ramps etc. My local dealer said it needs a new mechatronic unit at a cost of £1100!! The hood release cable breaking is a super common problem on the MK7. The hood release is two cables with a union above the driver headlamp. This union consists of a metal ball and a plastic cup.
